Public Project
Cattle Ranch & "Head Gate".
As I was setting up a resident of Seville, Jonah Robert Johnson, stoped to tell me about his childhood growing up on the land I was photographing. As a child his family lived in a one room wood frame house near the large tree in the distance you see to the right. Their house had no water or electric and his mother cooked all their meals on an out door fire place. I asked him if I could send a picture to his email. He told me he didn’t have email because he could not read or write but he could get it via text messaging on his phone.
Later on in the evening another resident walking by ask what I was doing. His name was Eric Johnson, showing me his jacket said he was a veteran. Mr. Johnson looked to be homeless and said he was on his way to buy more beer. He hoped that these pictures would make him famous.
