This year, the competition drew thousands of entries from over 40 countries, showcasing a remarkable diversity of styles, subjects, and perspectives. The 2025 edition underscores the power of photography to inspire, challenge, and transform how we view the world around us.

The winning works span a wide range of themes—capturing intimate human moments, the urgency of social issues, the intricacies of the natural world, and strikingly innovative conceptual photography. With each image, the photographers invite viewers into their unique narratives, shedding light on the stories that shape our shared experience and exploring new ways of seeing the world.

The All About Photo Awards provides an essential platform for both established and emerging photographers to reach a global audience. As the contest celebrates its 10th year, it continues to uphold its mission of championing visual storytelling while fostering a community of passionate photographers from all walks of life. The competition is not only about winning awards but also about amplifying the voices of talented individuals who are reshaping the art of photography.

Key Highlights from the 2025 Winners:

Photographer of the Year: Marijn Fidder (Netherlands) – Captured during an early morning training session at the Elite Swim and Gym pool in Kampala, this striking image of 15-year-old Ugandan swimmer Husnah Kukundakwe powerfully conveys resilience, determination, and self-acceptance. Born with a congenital limb impairment, Husnah defies expectations as Uganda’s only classified Paralympic swimmer. Fidder’s photograph is a compelling tribute to strength in adversity and the transformative power of sport

Second Place Winner: Abdelrahman Alkahlout (Palestine) – This harrowing image, taken at Nasser Hospital in Gaza, shows a Palestinian medic tenderly preparing the body of a child for burial. Captured with heartbreaking clarity, the photograph conveys the profound human toll of the ongoing conflict, offering a stark and deeply emotional testament to the cost of war on innocent lives.

Third Place Winner: Erhan Coral (Turkey) – Amid the snow-covered plains of Güroymak in Bitlis, Turkey, this tranquil image captures a moment of harmony between people and animals as they seek refuge in the region’s natural hot springs. Erhan Coral’s photograph beautifully illustrates the enduring relationship between humans and nature, offering a rare glimpse of warmth, resilience, and coexistence in the depths of winter.

Fourth Place Winner: João Coelho (Portugal/Angola) – In this striking black-and-white image, young workers in Angola’s coastal ship graveyards struggle to lift salvaged metal from the water—an unflinching look at the perilous labor and endurance required to extract value from ruin. João Coelho’s photograph lays bare the human cost of survival, resilience, and exploitation.

Fifth Place Winner: Francesco Gioia (Italy) – A powerful close-up portrait that elegantly captures the beauty of age, showcasing delicate red nails holding a lit cigarette. Set against a bold background, this image exudes character, resilience, and timeless allure, highlighting the subject's raw grace and presence.
