Summary
With this photographic work, I want to show that iconoclasm in feminist marches is not only an act of destruction but also an act of creation. It is a way of reclaiming physical and symbolic spaces that have been historically denied to women, of redefining public space and challenging power structures. These actions are a cry of resistance against a patriarchal system that continues to perpetuate inequality and injustice.
Iconoclasm is the term used to describe the destruction of images, monuments, and all kinds of symbols that represent the dominant political, economic, and religious classes, as a form of rejection and protest against the social conditions of the moment.

In a country like Mexico, where 10 women are murdered every day, and where all kinds of peaceful protests have been held to get the authorities to do something to protect them, without achieving anything, mexican women have decided to show their anger and indignation by making graffiti and seeking to damage symbols such as the Angel of Independence, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the National Palace.

With this photographic work, I want to show that iconoclasm in feminist marches is not only an act of destruction but also an act of creation. It is a way of reclaiming physical and symbolic spaces that have been historically denied to women, of redefining public space and challenging power structures.
