Roof and building side façade:
Architecture in Guilan (The north of Iran) has undergone drastic changes over the past few years. One of the changes in the use of tinplate in roofing materials and building side façade. The reason for the use of tinplate is to prevent the penetration of raindrops, the appropriate price, and the simplicity of placing.
Covered slopes in diverse forms and different materials such as tile, wood, and plant fibers were the main materials in the roof of Guilan houses over the past few years. Regrettably, with the use of new materials like tin, the traditional architecture of the city has undergone remarkable changes.
