A wheelchair user carries a sign: I want and can live a self-determined life! On October 25, 2024, the Disability Advisory Council of Munich hosted a demonstration at Odeonsplatz to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. This event highlighted the importance of implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and promoted inclusion as a fundamental human right. Eight specialized working groups, focusing on various aspects such as work, education, mobility, and support services, have dedicated years to addressing the needs and rights of individuals with disabilities. The demonstration aimed to raise awareness and foster a dialogue about accessibility and equality within society. Munich, Germany
