This a unique opportunity for Visura Members to receive an invitation to participate in the 2023 Visura Salon Virtual Series, a series of online events dedicated to highlighting innovative and impactful forms of visual storytelling. Proposals include but are not limited to presenting a recently published visual story, film, book, or exhibition.        

Photography, film, media technology, art, health, social-humanitarian, environmental, gender and racial justice, educational, visual or brand journalistic, and pop cultural ecosystems will be highlighted and explored in images, video, presentations, and talks.

Curated by Visura Associate Cameron Peters—The Visura Salon Series explores the newest and most effective forms of storytelling today through slideshows and animated discussions. Images, videos, presentations, and panel talks will highlight and explore photography, film, design, science, technology, engineering, art, health, social-humanitarian, environmental, educational, and photojournalistic ecosystems.


REQUIREMENTS

  • All proposal submissions are made via a “Story” created from your Visura photographer's dashboard
  • Proposals may be for images, videos, book presentations, and panel talks 
  • You can submit images or videos
  • Include a written Proposal in the Story Text section
  • Limit one submission per individual or organization
  • Please make sure to keep the proposal set to PRIVATE on your dashboard


  • What to submit: 
    • Images or Video: Minimum image size: 3000px on the longest dimension at 200dpi.
    • Title: Add the title of the Story
    • Location: Add the location of where the Story was taken.
    • Caption: Include captions following AP Standard Guidelines.
    • Date of Image: Add the date of the story, and each image was taken.
  • Update/Create your Profile
    • Add your About statement to your About page to include a written resume, website, social media, current location, and nationality. 
    • Add your Resumé to your CV page (viewable by Editors, only) by following these steps: Profile > Edit > Skills > CV
