Anne and Cash in the backyard
This portrait of my wife, Anne, was inspired by the classical portraits of aristocracy. Their fertile fields, extravagant fashions, and prized pets are reinterpreted through my lens to reflect our life in South Florida. Our urban backyard, with a chain link fence and 75 year old avocado tree is the extent of our domain. Our resources are limited and our entertainment frequently consists of a few friends and a cooler of beer in our backyard while our dog, Cashew, frolics and chases butterflies.
