Floods During COVID
Flood, Dread and Tears.
Following heavy rains in Bangalore, a sewer breached on Friday the 23rd of October which flooded homes in nearby localities. The residents spent days clearing the muck from their homes with the hope to salvage whatever they can. The ongoing pandemic has already created enough troubles and these floods only pile on leaving residents wonder about communicable diseases that may arise from the flood. As they recollect the horrors of that night they worry about more rains predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department. Most of them locked themselves in their homes protecting themselves from the rain despite which the rain water entered their homes taking away everything from them. Most of the families work as daily wage earners. No casualties were reported.
