Female Identity: is an ongoing series of documentary photography depicting the effect of social exclusion to women participation for social responsibility in Tanzania.
Itis by nature, a journey of advocacy, observation, experimentation, assessment and reflection of creative practice, and involves immersion within the landscape of inquiry. It is through documentary photography that I seek to raise awareness and visibly share my point of view.
The aim of this work is to advocacy and represents an expression of everyday reality of girls and their experiences. It will highlight how conscious and unconscious expressions of economic status are woven into girls’ lives. This seems like a relevant contribution to the larger discussion. I expect this work to be able to provide a construct, to draw forth, suggest, or to make known the effects of social exclusion and the concept of belonging within the society.
