   Despite being a very crowded island, holding more than 50 percent of Indonesia's 263 million people, Java is still largely rural and agricultural.  I wanted to capture the unique flavour of rural life through the people who rarely go to the big cities like Jakarta or Surabaya.  Here is some of the ongoing work
