Kofar Mata Dye Pit

Located in the heart of Kano, Kofar Mata Dye Pit is one of the oldest dye pits in Nigeria. The place which has been in existence since 1498 is a popular tourist destination in Kano. The dyers have been able to preserve that age long tradition of using natural ingredients to dye fabrics.
