To reach the Dukha nomads I had to catch a local plane from the capital Ulan Batar to a city called Murun. From there on I had three local Mongolians working for me fulltime. We had to drive 150km in an old jeep. It took us 15 hours to drive 150km. There were no roads and my head banged the roof several times. We reached a small village called Ulan Uul at night. I slept over with my drivers family who also appeared to be a nomad himself. From Ulan Uul village it was not possible to drive closer to reach the Dukha nomads. We had to ride horses for four days until we reached the Dukha nomads who lived in the sub-arctic landscape of Northern Mongolia. We crossed high snow peaked mountains and slept in tents with minus 30 degrees.
