Land with no food
Venezuela is the world's largest oil reserve. Because of the oil wealth, the Venezuelan productive system has never been industrialized; on the contrary, it has entered a state of abandonment and structural crisis. Only 20% of what a Venezuelan consumes is produced in Venezuela. The lack of raw materials, the high inflation of the country and corruption, together with the international sanctions imposed, have caused serious problems in access to seeds, fertilizers or vaccines and livestock feed. The oil monopoly means that the State has abandoned the country's primary industry and has opted for systematic imports thanks to oil revenues. This paradoxically turns the Venezuelan economy into a rich but absolutely dependent economy.
