Cemetery in times of Covid
Due to the strong increase in infections caused by the Covid19 pandemic in Mexico, in October 2020 the government declared that the traditional Day of the Dead festivities and visits to cemeteries would be cancelled.
Days before the festivity that takes place on November 2, people visited cemeteries such as the Municipal Pantheon of Valle de Chalco in Mexico. As this pantheon is one of those used to bury people who died of covid, relatives went ahead to visit the graves of their dead.
