Public Project
When did we lose our humanity?
Summary
For a year now, demonstrations in favor of defending the right of Palestinians to live have been multiplying in many countries around the world. What is happening in the Middle East has become the mirror and the measure of the West's ability to feel empathy towards the thousands of people who die every day under the bombs. But after a year, it is legitimate to wonder if Western countries and its public opinion have really lost the ability to show empathy. One's own humanity.
One year after the terrible events of 7 October by Hamas, in which almost 1,200 citizens of Israel lost their lives, around two million Palestinians find themselves living under bombs every day and dying in general silence.
Demonstrations have multiplied around the world demanding the same things: an immediate ceasefire and respect for human rights.
