Smithsonian Magazine-From Flower Markets and Colonial Forts to Shrines and Battlefields, Take a Journey Into the Heart of India (2025)
Summary
Delighted to see my story published in the Smithsonian Magazine.
Thank you, Quentin, for this wonderful opportunity.
Last year, I joined a 10-day journey with Assam Bengal Navigation and Joshua Hammer on the river cruise Rajmahal, traveling from Kolkata to Farakka Barrage.
My time on assignment was truly memorable, enriched by the warmth and support of the Assam Bengal Navigation team. It was an incredible journey through history, exploring forts, shrines, and vibrant towns along the Hooghly River.
A special thanks to my younger brother, Ronit Roy, for assisting me during the shoot in Kolkata.
