A Katahdin ewe and her one week old ewe lamb are transported in the back of a pickup truck from one farm to another, where they will graze during spring, summer and fall. Katahdin sheep are an American hair breed from Maine, named after Mount Katahdin - the state's highest peak. They don’t grow wool but hair, which they shed. They are bred for their meat.
