Schenevus is a photographic essay created during my visit to my friend Jimmy's property located in the village of Schenevus, NY.In the essay, I explore themes such as loneliness, the relationship between change and age, resilience, and the complexity of adapting to a new environment.At the age of 49, Jimmy (a software engineer) bought a property in Schenevus, NY. He moved there and began a solo construction, adaptation, and creation project, completely leaving behind his life in the city."I can no longer live a comfortable lifestyle. Overcoming the difficulties and challenges are reasons for me" J.Now, at 51, after going through various learning processes, breaking his left hand two years in a row, and experiencing various challenges, Jimmy has developed a routine that includes reusing and repairing, making a property habitable where there was only a small wooden shed surrounded by numerous maples."Creating, fixing, building, and growing gives me a great sense of satisfaction and freedom; my lifestyle allows me to experience these things in a very primitive way."J.You can view his work on his YouTube channel.https://www.youtube.com/@notquitea/videos
