During the festivities of San Pedro, the neighborhood of Chiche in Puembo, Ecuador, is once again adorned with tradition. They are the Aruchicos, the musicians of the celebration. Neighbors, relatives, and friends gather to dance through the homes of each prioste—the host of the celebration—who offers food and drink to the dancers as they make their way to the main square to honor San Pedro and give thanks to the sun for the abundance of the land.

Durante las fiestas de San Pedro, el barrio "Chiche" en Puembo, Ecuador, se viste un año más de tradición. Ellos son los Aruchicos, los músicos de la fiesta. Vecinos, vecinas, familiares y amigos se congregan para danzar por las casas de cada prioste, quien celebra, ofrece comida y bebida a los danzantes, que se dirigen hacia la plaza principal, donde festejan a San Pedro y agradecen al sol por la abundancia de la tierra.
