From September 12 to 14, 2025, the Italo-Brazilian visual artist Monica Silva presents a profound and transformative photography experience:
“15 Minutes to Be Seen – The Portrait to Boost Self-Esteem”, a participatory photographic set designed in collaboration with FUJIFILM for the festival Il Tempo delle Donne, promoted by Corriere della Sera at the amazing location Spazio Cuore Triennale Milano. More than a photo shoot, it’s a moment of encounter.
A suspended time in which each participant is invited to shed their daily masks and reclaim their image – and their right to truly be seen.
In just 15 minutes – between silence, presence, and light – each portrait reveals the person’s raw and sincere authenticity.

A project rooted in deep research
“15 Minutes to Be Seen” is a performative experience and an integral part of Monica Silva’s long-term artistic and psychological research project: My Hidden Ego – Psychology in Portraiture, a photographic exploration of identity, authenticity, and self-perception that has been evolving since 2008.
Over the years, My Hidden Ego has been featured in:
- A major solo event at Fabbrica del Vapore (Milan, 2024), with many visitors and extensive national press coverage
- The cover of “La Lettura”, the cultural supplement of Corriere della Sera
- International exhibitions in museums and institutions abroad
Combining art, psychology, photography, and storytelling, the project has also led to immersive installations, publications, and workshops that help participants connect with their inner selves through the power of the image.
A space open to everyone
During the three days of the festival, the public will have the opportunity to book a personal portrait session, an intimate and welcoming photographic set designed and led by Monica Silva, with the collaboration of FUJIFILM Italia.
