Five Argo Collective members assembled in New Orleans this last weekend for our annual in-person meeting. Sunday December 17th, they covered the “Big 9” Second Line - a community parade - an annual event that happens every week before Christmas- started in the Bywater neighborhood and marched to the Lower Ninth Ward, a historically African American neighborhood.
Originally, the Second Line formed organically behind a band playing music for a funeral or other celebration. As the band, or the “main line” passed by, people joined in and followed the music forming the “second line”
