The photo series I submitted shows the funeral of 6 year old Wadee Al-Faioumy of Plainfield, Illinois. The child was stabbed 26 times in his home because he was an American-Palestinian in Plainfield Illinois in October 2023. His mother was also stabbed and survived. The attacker was their landlord.
Since October 7th, 2023, when Hamas mounted an attack on the Israelis, Palestinians in the US and around the world have been subject to various hate crimes including being killed, violently assaulted, ostracized, and subject to various forms of Islamophobia.
