I was going through my archives and came upon this photo of mine which was used for Lil Wayne’s (@liltunechi) album “Funeral.” When Republic Record first approached me for the photography, I had no idea who Lil Wayne was. All I knew was that he was from New Orleans. So I contacted the President of a Social and Pleasure Club whom I had photographed as part of a photo documentary I did about the Second Line culture in New Orleans. I asked if he knew Lil Wayne… All he told me was give him everything he wants (I am paraphrasing).
I had totally forgotten about this until I got a Google alert on my name and it took me to a site where various edition of the album available for purchase…
