This story that aims to make visible the increasing social inequalities regarding access to education in elementary school in Ecuador, its consequences and responses during the COVID 19 emergency. Ecuador the government reduces the basic salary for teachers who try to teach from a virtual educational system in a country where only 6 out of 10 children have access to the internet.

This project covers the story of children and public school teachers who face education from home amid an economic crisis. Unemployed parents and most of them illiterates do their best to get the internet and cell phones that allow them to continue with the education of their children, who live their childhood in quarantine. Teachers invest their own money to connect with their home and teaching with videos, phone calls, or messages through WhatsApp.
