A sad family incident made me escape the UK with the last available flight into my home country Czech republic. Several years ago I bought a house in the South Bohemia region in a hilly countryside and small village pretty much away from civilization. This was the first time I had the opportunity to stay in the house for more then one night. And, in fact, I decided to spend almost two months there before returning on the very last flight to the UK (before flights were frozen due to the new COVID strain). Whilst working from the serene world and getting familiar with my house and the region, I walked a lot. More than ever in my life, in fact. I realized that, despite meeting absolutely noone, walking opens views that I'd never see while driving or riding a bike. Here is a selection of images from the few winterish weeks. Very different from the world of protest I have been covering for the last 4 years. But very special too. This may not happen again and, though I can't wait to return to "normal", I'll miss these moments of peace.
