ICE Protests Continues in Broadview Illinois

Some protestors expressed their disappointment at Democratic Illinois Governor JB Pritzker accusing him of talking tough towards President Trump but cooperating with it and providing cover and protection for ICE activities in Broadview.
At one point protestors took to the street and obstructed traffic taking the ISP and Broadview Police off guard. But the law enforcement quickly blocked the streets and declared an unlawful assembly and directed the protestors to disperse under the threat of arrest. The crowd complied-some immediately some in a slow manner. Finally the crowd was turn back to the Free Speech Area.
Sparked by the federal operation “Midway Blitz” launched in early September which as resulted in almost 1000 arrests across the Chicagoland area. The ICE processing faculty is one of the facilities in which the arrestees are held. There has been almost some protest everyday and larger protests on weekend for the past several weeks.(Nima Taradji/Polaris)
