I was invited to participate in the 32nd annual Noble Auction of the John A. Noble Maritime Museum. Please view my photograph, Tree Vines at Clove Lake Park (catalog number #123).
Tree Vines at Clove Lake Park was taken with black and white film, printed with archival pigment ink on Epson Hot Press paper, and is part of a group show at the annual Noble Maritime Collection Museum in Nov. 2020.
"The sinewy vines depicted in this photograph by Irma Bohórquez-Geisler reveal the raw power and determination of nature to always reach for resources to sustain life. Silently, there is a great deal of energy in the interplay between these vines, however they lay dormant in the winter snow. With her considerable photographic skill, Bohórquez-Geisler’s captured the beauty in this organic complexity, which others might pass by unnoticed,” Ciro Galeno, Jr. Executive Director of Noble Maritime Museum.
All the work in the auction is donated by artists and art collectors and 100% of the proceeds benefit the museum’s operations.
PLEASE NOTE: Participation in the virtual Art Auction is unlimited and registration is free! Images of the art are posted daily until November 14 on the museum’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
The auction will be live-streamed on Saturday, November 14, at 7 PM. The art auction is this Saturday! Please register!
