Thousands took to the streets of London on Saturday to support the workers' day and other social causes. By far the biggest part of the protest was occupied by the Kill the Bill movement against the new police, crime, sentencing and courts bill. After gathering in Trafalgar Square, protesters, led by Sisters Uncut, marched past Buckingham Palace then pass the Department for Education to make a stop at the Home Office and continue to Vauxhall Gardens, where the protest ended with a rave party. Sisters Uncut mobilised a doubledecker bus for part for of the journey. Police was present in central London in large numbers but clearly decided for a lighter handed approach resulting in peaceful start to finish.
